Very early this morning I sent out my submission to tor.com’s War of the Words contest. I feel both exhausted and relieved to have it out there. Although I panicked about writing a synopsis, I feel pretty good about the finished product. You can find a short excerpt or two of what I sent out here. About 60 pages of manuscript, and that’s probably less than many other wanna-be-Tolkiens. Can they really sort through however many thousands of these manuscripts in but a few weeks? Theoretically they will be able to announce the winners by September 7th, which is a mere 2.5 weeks away.
